THE COOKING WAR!

So, today the kids and I made burgers, but not just any burgers. Mini Burgers. You see, my bestfriend and I accidentally found ourselves in a baking/cooking war. (I made Rose shaped apple tarts, she made better ones. It was on.) So I finally got my payback today, in the form of mini meals.

For any of you that are interested, here's the recipe for the rose tarts I mentioned CLICK HERE
The recipe is in no way mine, so huge shoutout to the people that actually figured out how to do this. I dare you to try it yourself and share photos of what you accomplished.

Until Next Time
Rose.

Introduction to me, and my Blog.

Heya Y'all.

My Name is Rose and I'm an aspiring T.V. Show and Movie Writer. I am currently studying to try and improve my writing skills. This blog will probably be a collection of things I write, as well as reflection on the course I am doing. Feel free to comment, leave suggestions for improvement. Even a mini-essay if you want. Just please remember to be kind, I would love to improve, but don't want my hopes and dreams torn to shreds.

Thank You
Rose

Free-running Exercise,

WARNING!
The prompt word I was given was Massacre. My work may be a little on the graphic side. If you are easily squeamish, or dislike this kind of stuff, please don't read any further!
Thank you.

In class we were given a free-writing task. Where we were given a word and asked to write for three minutes about that word, either using it as the theme or the starting word. My word was massacre, the first block of text is what I did in those three minutes, rather basic, but I did expand that on my trip home yesterday. You can read that in the second block of text.

Aleari, Garnet, Kydea, Violet and Zerafina are original characters with a project I'm working on with another writer friend. It's called 'Dimension Hop' or 'DH' for short. You'll probably hear/read a lot about these girls, and I do plan to post it all up once we have finished the first 'book'.

Without further Ado, allow me to present: Massacre:

~~~~~♥~~~~~♡~~~~~♥~~~~~
It was a complete and total massacre, body parts littered the village without care. A leg still sizzling in the fireplace, a head balanced precariously atop one of the temporary houses.
“They were here recently.” A female voice called out, emerging from one of the tents and looking to her friends.
“I agree.” Garnet called from the outskirts of the makeshift camp, she’d refused to set foot amongst the bloodshed. She’d already lost her lunch once, and wasn’t keen to lose it again.
“Heading West, we should be able to catch up. They’ll be tired after their hunt.” Kydea added, using her own foot to roll a torso over.
“Why did we agree to do this again?” Zerafina sighed loudly, trying to ignore the child's body beside her.
“Because someone has to stop them.” Violet whispered, resting a hand over her stomach.
“I think I’m going to be sick. Let's end this. Once and for all.” She spoke louder, looking to Aleari.
It was a complete and total massacre, body parts littered the village without care. A leg still sizzling in the fireplace, a head balanced precariously atop one of the temporary houses.  The entire place was made of wood, and would no doubt be burnt to the ground soon. It was easier than trying to bury an entire village worth of people.
“They were here recently.” A female voice called out, emerging from one of the tents and looking to her friends. Blood spatter had crept up her hands and legs. Ripped cargo pants covered with mud, and dust. Her hair had been tied back of her face, her dark green shirt looking more and more brown with each day spent out in the desert. Blood smeared across her shirt as she wiped her hands.
“I agree.” Garnet called from the outskirts of the makeshift camp, she’d refused to set foot amongst the bloodshed. She’d already lost her lunch once, and wasn’t keen to lose it again. Instead she cared for the five horses, making sure they were rested and watered. Readjusting the packs they carried. She pulled a spare change of clothes out of one of the packs, glancing to her dust and blood covered clothes, before putting them away again. She’d change once this mess was over with. The last thing she wanted was to ruin yet another set of clothes. She gripped the bottom of her dark green shirt, shaking it in an effort to clear the dust off of it.
“Heading West, we should be able to catch up. They’ll be tired after their hunt.” Kydea added, using her booted foot to roll a torso over. Just like her friends, she was covered in dust and blood. Hair tied back off her face, but the blonde ends had been stained red from getting too close to a corpse. The blood had dripped down her uniform shirt, leaving streaks of red through the dark green.
“Why did we agree to do this again?” Zerafina sighed loudly, trying to ignore the child's body beside her. Re-plaiting her hair to rest down her left shoulder once more, blood streaked off her hands, giving the blonde curls a slightly more reddish tinge. Attempting to wipe the dust off her hands on her uniform.
“Because someone has to stop them.” Violet whispered, resting a hand over her stomach. Feeling it turn as she surveyed the death and destruction around her. Glancing to her friend’s, the exhaustion that combatted with the thrill of the hunt. Breathing through their mouths in an effort to avoid the stench of death and decay. The itch in clothes that would never be clean again, the horror burnt into the back of the eyes that would add to the endless pile of nightmare fodder they already had. She already knew each would spend at least an hour in the showers when they returned to camp, trying to scrub the memory from their skin the way they couldn’t their minds.
“I think I’m going to be sick. Let's end this. Once and for all.” She spoke louder, looking to Aleari. Aleari forced a  smile, setting alight a torch, and beginning to set the village ablaze. Kydea joined in next, then Zerafina. Circling the camp to insure nothing was missed before making their way to the horses. All five girls covering their noses as the smell of burning flesh began to carry on the smoke. The crack as the fire heated and started to sear away at skin. .
“This way.” Aleari got the group moving, following the tracks left in the desert sand before them. Horses were nudged to gallop, they needed to get away from there. The sooner the better.
